Betzena Review: 76% of Its Over 1.5 Tips Win — and Following Them Still Lost Money
We took every free pick Betzena published over 30 days and checked it against the odds printed beside it. In our test, every market with real volume lost money — and a simple rule with no analysis won more often.

Betzena delivers what it sells: picks that win often. In our 30-day test, following its free picks at the odds it prints lost money in every market with real volume — and a rule with no analysis at all matched its win rate.

Put €10 on every one of Betzena's free Over 1.5 goals picks between 29 August and 27 September and you would have won 2,818 bets — and finished €1,394 down. We collected all 18,294 free picks the site published in those 30 days, checked each against the odds printed beside it, and asked the one question a win rate can't answer: did following them make money?
What is Betzena? Tiers, price and claims
Betzena is a football tips site aimed mainly at bettors in Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana, with prices in 13 currencies. Its free tier covers six markets — Over 1.5 goals, Double Chance, Match Winner, Over 0.5 goals at half-time (HT), Draw and Correct Score. Pro (€7 a month) and Max (€16 a month) add more markets and accumulators; a separate Elite plan (€11 a week) gives one pick a day (pricing).
Its record page headlines a 58% strike rate on about 46,700 picks, with Over 1.5 and Double Chance near 80%. The site describes its picks as analyst-reviewed and says most fixtures it reviews each day don't produce a published pick. It does not promise profit, and its disclaimer says so. On its pick pages, its only advice on price is to compare odds across bookmakers (how it works). In short: the win rate is the product; getting a price that pays is left to you.

Betzena's history was read after the matches from its public pages, so it reflects the site as published on 28 September 2026. Paid tiers were not tested. Break-even is computed pick by pick (the average of 1 ÷ odds), which is why it can sit above 1 ÷ average odds.
Betzena predictions: win rate vs profit at its own odds
The number that matters is not the win rate. It is the gap between the win rate and the win rate the odds require. At the odds these picks came with, you needed to win around 79–81 times in 100 just to get your stake back.

Every market with real volume lost money — at Betzena's own odds and, for the ones we can price, at Pinnacle's closing odds too. The odds Betzena prints are, if anything, slightly shorter than the best we store (on Over 1.5, 1.28 on average against 1.31 for the best closing price on the same picks), so a reader who shops around loses a little less — but still loses.

Whose win rate is it? Matching 76% with no analysis
A win rate is mostly a choice of odds. To test that fairly, we built the laziest tipster we could: on each day Betzena published, take the same number of picksit did (fewer on half-time goals, where fewer games have a Pinnacle price), choosing whichever outcomes Pinnacle's odds made most likely. No form, no team news, no model. Both sides priced at the same closing odds:

Both sides on the picks with a Pinnacle closing price, returns at that price (Double Chance: best closing odds among the books we track). The no-analysis rule chooses using kick-off prices, which nobody has when a tip is published — it shows what a win rate is made of; it is not a strategy you could follow.
Measured on the same Pinnacle-priced picks, the no-analysis rule wins more often than Betzena in all four markets — mostly by backing shorter odds — and returns a little more in three of them (Betzena does slightly better on Over 1.5). At the same prices, every row loses. Be even pickier on Over 1.5 — only games the market rates 75% or 80% likely — and the win rate climbs to 83–86%, while the return stays just below zero (−1.1% and −1.5%).

We also asked our own model to call the matches Betzena picked that our model covers (1,929 Over 1.5 games and 676 Match Winner games). It agreed with Betzena's pick 98% of the time on Over 1.5 and 95% on Match Winner, and both hit about the same rate (Over 1.5: Betzena 74.5%, model 73.3%; Match Winner: Betzena 53.1%, model 53.3%). On a lopsided game the tipster, the model and the bookmaker all see the same favourite. The win rate belongs to the game, not to whoever called it.
Strengths and weaknesses

- Marks an accumulator lost the moment a leg fails.

Where it falls short
- Sells a win rate, not a return: the free tier never shows what following it pays.
- Every high-volume free market lost money at its own quoted odds in our test.
- Profit is shown only on the €11-a-week Elite pick.
- Its record-page figures sit above what we graded from its daily pages, and we could not reconcile them.

This compares what a reader of each site would have got. For us that means every pick we posted to our public Telegram channel before kick-off in the same 30 days — all strategies, including ones we have since retired — at the price we published. Our picks are in different markets and at longer odds, so this is not two models on the same games.

How to judge any tipster in 30 seconds

Ask for the odds
No odds, no verdict. A win rate on its own can't be checked.

Work out the break-even
1 ÷ odds for each pick, then the average. At odds of 1.25 you need to win 80% of the time. Is the win rate above it?

Check the sample
A few hundred picks prove little. Thousands start to.

Check the price you'd get
Quoted odds you can't find at your own bookmaker don't count.

Look for the losses
A record with no bad weeks is a red flag.
Is Betzena legit? Our verdict
Betzena is a clear, well-built site that publishes its picks, odds and results openly — we found nothing to suggest it is not what it says. What it sells is a high win rate. In our 30 days and 18,294 free picks, following them at the quoted odds lost money in every market with real volume, and a rule with no analysis matched the win rate. If you use it, use it as a list of likely outcomes, and check every price yourself.
