Following all 970 graded FootyStats picks from 11 Oct to 21 Oct 2026 at €10 a pick would have lost about €484 at its printed odds (€10 flat on every pick, past results, illustration only). We collected the picks on its predictions page, graded each against the scores and closing odds we record, and asked one question: does following the page pay at the odds it prints?

What is FootyStats? Price, tiers and claims

In short: a free predictions page that prints a pick and an odds figure on each card, from a mix of model and user picks, with no profit or loss shown.

FootyStats is a football statistics site; the part we tested is its free predictions page, which lists more than 100 picks a day (1,251 over 11 days) across 1X2, both teams to score and over/under goals, plus corners and half-time markets that we did not grade (135 picks excluded), each with printed odds, kick-off time and league. Of those 1,251 rows, 970 are graded, 3 void, 141 could not be matched to a fixture, 135 are in markets we did not test, and 2graded picks print no odds and so cannot be priced. The picks are not one model's output: each card in our capture names a tipster, so the page mixes model picks with picks from named users. How the page describes its own picks is summarised from our notes of 11 Oct 2026, not re-read.

We graded every pick on the page and kept the user id as part of the pick, so two users' tips on one match count as two picks. The figures below are therefore for that mixed feed, not for a single FootyStats model. We could not re-read the page (see How we checked), so we quote nothing from it.

How we checked FootyStats's picks

Every pick on FootyStats's public predictions pages, 11 Oct to 21 Oct 2026: 970 graded picks in 5 markets, checked against the scores and closing odds we record.

The method in full
What we collected
Every pick on FootyStats's public predictions pages in the window, with the odds printed beside it and our graded result (1,251 rows read)
Period
11 Oct to 21 Oct 2026 (11 days, by kick-off date)
Sample
970 graded picks in 5 markets; 141 picks we could not match to a fixture are excluded; 135 picks in markets we could not test are counted and excluded
Prices
the odds printed beside each pick on footystats.org/predictions (the odds of the picked outcome). WHAT A PICK IS: the page's feed mixes a model and user-submitted tips; each card names a user id and the adapter keeps the id as part of the pick (two users' tips on one match are two picks). We test every pick on the page, so the figures are for that mixed feed, not for a single FootyStats model.; as the second basis, the sharp close: the sharp closing line, with its margin removed

C: read after the fact from its history pages
Pre-committed
Site, window, markets and tests logged 2 Nov 2026, before the audit ran

FootyStats's history was read after the matches from its results pages; we did not capture it live, so the pages could have changed before we read them. Paid tiers were not tested. Break-even is computed pick by pick (the average of 1 ÷ odds). Every 95% range comes from a bootstrap that resamples whole days, because picks on the same day are linked. Voids and pushes return the stake and count as no bet; results are our fixture result over 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Sharp closing prices cover only part of Over/Under 1.5 goals (63 of 78). No sharp closing price for Both teams to score.

FootyStats sits behind a Cloudflare challenge. We stopped collecting its pages on 20 Oct 2026 because the tool we used would have clicked that challenge for us, and we do not solve or bypass such checks. The window is therefore the 11 days we already held, under the 30 days our format asks for. 62.5% of picks were first seen before kick-off and 356 after it, so we grade the issue C. A user pick may have been posted before we first saw it, so first-seen time is not posting time.

The pre-commitment for this page was written after collection stopped (from data already held, with no result read first; it expected grade A and the audit found C). We did not test any paid tier. Both teams to score has no sharp-close or price check in our data.

The page shows no results, so we graded every pick ourselves and could not compare its record with ours. About 12.5%of 1X2 picks could not be matched to a fixture; with no result of the site's own to fall back on, they are excluded, not counted.

The full method is on our methodology page.

No single market is read on its own here: 1X2 (383 picks, +3.3%, 95% range −6.9% to +12.5%) is marked read with care because 12.5% of its picks could not be matched, and its range includes losing. Both teams to score (233 picks, −9.3%) and over/under 2.5 (216 picks, −14.6%) are under 300 picks, too few to read. Over/under 1.5 (78 picks, +16.3%) has too few picks to read (+15.2% on 63 at the sharp close), so that figure must not be quoted alone. The pooled figure (−5.0%, 970 picks) includes the thin markets.

No market has under 5% unmatched picks in this window, so there is no profit and loss chart: a line drawn from picks we could not all match would mislead.

Did FootyStats beat the closing odds?

FootyStats's odds: capture time unknown, read after the matches (proof grade C). A tipster who beats the close is finding prices; one who doesn't is following them.

Is it skill? FootyStats against a no-analysis rule

On each day FootyStats published picks, the rule takes the same number of picks, choosing whichever outcome the sharp closing odds made most likely. No form, no team news, no model. Both sides are priced at the sharp close, so each side counts only the picks with a sharp closing price, and the two counts can differ.

Returns at the sharp close. Caveat: the rule chooses with kick-off prices, so it shows what a win rate is made of, not a strategy, and nobody has kick-off prices when a tip is published.

Shows profit or loss

No

In our capture the page showed no results and no profit or loss.

Profitable at its own odds

Mixed

Pooled −5.0% at its printed odds (970 picks, 95% range −11.1% to +2.0%), which includes winning. No market is read on its own: 1X2 (+3.3%, range −6.9% to +12.5%) is greyed with 12.5% unmatched, and the others are under 300 picks. Odds were first seen partly after kick-off (grade C).

Beats the closing odds

Unreliable

FootyStats's odds were read after the matches (proof grade C), so the capture time is unknown and this row cannot pass. The CLV table above is printed for reference only.

Beats a no-analysis rule

Mixed

Mixed. On 1X2 the site (+2.5%) and the rule (+2.3%) overlap within noise. On over/under 2.5 the rule did better (−1.6% against −13.1%) and on over/under 3.5 too (−2.3% against −34.8%); over/under 1.5 (63 picks) is too few to read. These rows are greyed or thin, so read with care.

What it does well

  • Its printed 1X2 odds were no more than 2.0% above the best price we hold on 98.7% of the 384 picks we could check.
  • In our capture it is free and prints odds beside nearly every pick.

Who it's for: Readers who want a free daily list of picks to compare with their own view and will check their own bookmaker's price first.

Who should skip it: Anyone who wants a single tracked model or a profit record they can check: in our capture the page mixed user picks and showed no results.

Is FootyStats legit? Our verdict

A working site in our capture; we could not confirm who runs it.

−5.0% at its printed odds, −4.0% at the sharp close (970 picks, of which 709 had a close price; 11 days).

Short window and a mixed feed of model and user picks. No market had enough matched picks to read on its own.

FootyStats FAQ

FAQ (7)
Is FootyStats legit?
A working site in our capture; we could not confirm who runs it. In our 11-day test the 970 picks we could grade returned −5.0% at its printed odds (95% range −11.0% to +2.0%, which includes winning) and −4.0% at the sharp close (709 of them had a close price). The page mixes model picks and picks from named users, so this is not a test of one model.
Is FootyStats a scam?
We did not assess whether it is a scam. We checked one thing: its printed 1X2 odds were no more than 2% above the best price we hold on 98.7% of the 384 picks we could check. In our capture the page did not show results, so we could not compare its record with ours. We did not contact FootyStats.
What are FootyStats's real results?
Over 11 to 21 Oct 2026, its 970 graded picks returned −5.0% at its printed odds (95% range −11.0% to +2.0%); the sharp-close figure, −4.0%, covers the 709 of them that had a close price. No single market is read on its own: 1X2 is greyed (12.5% of its picks unmatched) and the rest are under 300 picks. Over/under 1.5 showed +16.3% on 78 picks, too few to read, so do not quote it alone.
Is FootyStats's paid tier worth it?
We did not test it; we tested only the free predictions page. We do not know what any paid tier offers.
How did we measure this?
We collected its predictions page repeatedly until 20 Oct 2026, when we stopped because of a Cloudflare challenge, then matched the picks to the fixtures and closing odds we record, and graded them at its printed odds and at the sharp close (a sharp benchmark's closing line). Every number is in the ledger file linked under Sources.
Are these FootyStats' own predictions?
Not all of them. In our capture each card names a tipster, so the page mixes model picks with picks from named users. We graded every pick on the page and kept the tipster id as part of the pick, so the figures are for that mixed feed.
How accurate are FootyStats predictions?
Of the 970 picks we graded over 11 days, 54.6% won, against the 57.7% that its printed odds needed to break even. That is a return of −5.0% (95% range −11.0% to +2.0%), at the odds it prints. The window is short and the feed mixes model and user picks.
